[The dismissal is harsh, but Roxas knows better than to let it get to him too much. Reminds himself he knows better. And so he lingers just long enough to say one more thing]
Rin. Don't forget.
[And with that, he shuts Add's door quietly and sets off to get ready to answer that prayer with Ludger]
Yep! Stuck his hand into my chest and pulled it out! It acutally hurt a lot when he did it but right after its like nothing happened! My NOTE was with me and It was after that I was able to become a Gatchaman!
[She pats the spot again as if to confirm his question. There's a thoughtful silence that follows before and looks back to him.]
Ah! But it doesn't hurt or anything, no worries Add-san!
But you are human, right? Aside from being a god, I mean. [He doesn't so sound sure of anything anymore. Ugh, if this turns out to be some ridiculous thing like magic... if it runs on magic, how is he supposed to get any satisfaction out of studying it??
He's still preparing the next round of questions in his mind when the topic is unexpectedly changed. About him?
... well, he has been questioning her quite thoroughly, but he hasn't really said anything about himself yet. Still...]
I'm a shinki, so there isn't a lot I can tell you.
Then tell me what you know! You're super interesting too, Add-san! Just cause you're a shinki doesn't change that! Hobbies, fav foods, colors and anything else!
[Don't mind her as she leans in towards him, neon eyes shiny bright]
I think im human....but different! Gatcha~! No one has really asked this much about it before so I don't know how to give you the answers you want!
[He does mind a little this time around, leaning away from her to match. Even if he still wants a good look at that strange mask of hers...
He turns his head to the side, trying to seem more aloof than nervous.]
Well, without any memory of my past life, I can't exactly answer your questions freely. Most of that information is unknown to me as well. All I can say with certainty is that I have a strong affinity for machines and technology. [And an equally strong dislike for physical exertion... but saying something like that wouldn't sound cool. And he hasn't really sampled enough foods to know what his favourites are, especially after those stupid ayakashi ruined chocolates for him...
He briefly glances down at his own weird clothing. Well, at least one of those questions has an easy answer.] Purple is alright, I guess.
[Feeling bad for upsetting Add with his stupid dumb jokes, Sora leaves a gift at Chang'e's temple for Add to find. It's a tin of chocolate robots with a little note.]
wow, you mean it? i got them at [insert near shore store address here]! they apparently run out pretty quick so try going early in the morning if you want more!
[Correct that "they apparently run out pretty quick" to "they'll never be in stock ever again" now that Add knows about it. If he can find out what day they refresh their inventory he can optimize the process...]
I'll do that. If your information proves to be correct, I'll allow your previous behaviour to slide.
In the future, be more mindful about what you say. [definitely wasn't mad, for sure]
We likely haven't spoken but my name is Yukio Okumura. If I'm not mistaken, you're the god that's been assigned to shinki named Rin, right? I'd like to talk to you about him.
[ Cut him some slack Add he wasn't around for the last incident. ]
He can be difficult to deal with at times and a little stubborn so I wouldn't blame anyone for losing their temper. Either way, I wanted to know what kind of person he was assigned to.
I'm used to dealing with worse, something like this is no problem for me. [if he can deal with Jakob's ceaseless nagging... not to mention Rin acts a lot like Elsword, and he definitely knows how to handle a brat like that.] I'll try to keep him out of trouble while he's in my service, so don't worry about a thing, kuku.
[ ....sure a god can keep him out of trouble... but who'll keep the god out of trouble? ]
I'll hold you to it. But one last thing before I let you go: I heard of people receiving things from back home or having their personal belongings with them. If you ever chance upon an old Japanese sword in his possession, please let me know immediately. Don't let him draw it.
[ Last he knew, Rin didn't know about his demonic half... but then, this isn't his Rin. ]
[Bad news, Yukio: Add is untrustworthy and no one's keeping him out of trouble.
If he's trying to give off an impression of being a dependable, trustworthy god, though, it would be a logical move to just agree to Yukio's request... but how can he bring up a weird thing like that and not elaborate? Is it dangerous? Does it do something cool? Add hasn't heard of anyone receiving items from home that weren't useful or meaningful to them in some way, so it can't be all bad.]
I'm afraid I can't keep a promise like that without knowing what it does. What sort of effect does it have? Does it only work when Rin uses it?
Do you mean the flames? [or something related to them, anyway]
Ignorance isn't a long-term solution. If it's something he's capable of, it'd be better for him to understand it and know his own limitations. If it's dangerous to use that's even more of a reason to understand it properly. Even if you can't tell him directly because he's a shinki there are ways around that.
[ Okay not that any of this went over his head but there's only one thing on his mind right now. ]
You know about the flames?
[ His emotion doesn't convey easily over text but he's practically shaking as he types it out. How? How did this man know about the flames? Did he see it when-- no, he doesn't want to think about that. ]
They appeared for him during the training session to stop a projectile. He didn't seem to notice it, though. It was probably a fluke since it only happened once.
[And he remembers the flames from his vision of Rin's death, but he wouldn't think of that as usable evidence. The fire could've been unrelated to Rin, based on that information alone.]
[ A fluke... yeah... flukes are good. Flukes happen. But still... ]
The sword should have sealed them completely. If they appeared once, something must have happened when he died that unsealed them. Either way, I suggest training him to keep them under control. They can be unpredictable if left unchecked.
