[An entire week goes by before Add is reminded that he had arrangements for a "date" with a "robot".
How could he forget such an important event?! Even if he was a bit distracted for that first week, between figuring out what he was supposed to be doing and getting his ass beat in by a crazed lunatic... Ahh, but now he looks completely uninterested, he had such a perfect start and now he's gone and left a poor impression...!
Okay, wait, calm down, Add. She still texted him! Even if she never responded to his post asking about robots (maybe she didn't think it was necessary since they'd already met?) she's still clearly expressing interest in him. Does she really think he's that interesting? That's still a factor that could be played to his advantage. And maybe she just thinks he was busy this week and that's why he forgot to reach out to here? It wouldn't exactly be a lie. That would be a good excuse to run with, regardless...
She seems to be in a good mood, but it's difficult to tell based on text alone... he can't be too careless. He doesn't want to upset her before he has his chance. Ah, is she capable of being upset? Part of him is disappointed, of course. He's met a couple cyborgs, one of which is almost fully robotic, but no full machines yet. It would be really exciting to meet a machine that's also a god. But mostly, he's embarrassed that he let himself get so caught up in his fantasies that he didn't consider the situation rationally. Hajime was simply too human-like to expect from a real machine. Even if she looked like one when they first met, that isn't enough evidence to prove it... he should've been more forthcoming, asked more questions at the start before making any hasty conclusions. He's more disappointed in himself than he is about the situation.
Anyway, he comes back to his senses once he realizes Hajime is touching his ears (they're slightly pointy, but nothing else out of the ordinary).

Even with his modified eyes, he can't make out much of anything through that bright light, and once it fades she's already switched to her more familiar form, complete with glowing neon lights and that mask-like expression.
